General Manager 

 JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Planning administration  

  • Provide leadership and vision to the organization by assisting the Board and staff  with the development of long range and annual plans, and with the evaluation and  reporting of progress on plans.
  • Oversee preparation of an Annual Report summarizing progress on short and long  range plans.
  • Research and write discussion papers, analysis documents and proposals as needed  to assist the organization in determining and meeting its long and short term goals.

2. HR management
  • Recruitment and contracting of company and project staff;
  • Employee development, succession planning and training;
  • Policy development and documentation;
  • Employee relations;
  • Performance management and improvement systems;
  • Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting;
  • Company-wide committee facilitation including planning, production, staff and
  • Board of Directors, including arranging meetings and agendas, attending and minutes of meetings;

3. Project management:
  • Oversee all projects running in the company;
  • Hands on when project managers are not able to complete their projects well;
  • Take fast and appropriate action when projects are not going as planned;
  • Make decisions if projects require to move to a different direction with the approval of the Board of Directors;

4. Marketing and PR:
  • Market all IT products to the users;
  • Ensure that technology is being used appropriately

5.   Financial management 
  • Provide recommendations regarding investments;
  • Oversee preparation of annual budget, regular variance statements and annual audit.
  • Provide vision and leader ship in long - range fiscal planning to ensure the continuity  and solvency of the company.

7. Production/QC:  
  • Insure accurate documentation of all internally created products as well as all purchased products.
  • Direct and oversee personnel efficiency.
  • Oversee and ensure high safety standards at all times.
  • Direct production activities to insure safety and compliance with quality control standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee and/or ensure good housekeeping at site at all times.

6. Administrative management
  • Ensure client and vendor file integrity (documents, analytical information where required, communication notations, etc.).
  • Maintain general oversight and insure accuracy of records;
  • Assist in development of forms and tools to increase company efficiency and risk management.
 

Qualification


  • minimum of five years of experience in business management, planning and financial oversight
  • minimum of five years of experience in personnel management, including hiring, supervision, evaluation and benefits administration. 
  • minimum of three years of experience working with a board of directors and committees. 
  • University graduate or equivalent experience. 
  • Proven skills in business and financial management. 
  • Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a staff team. 
  • Effective problem - solving and mediation skills.

Accounting, Process/Controls, Treasury, and Compliance


  • Report to Financial Controller and supervise a team of fourteen to sixteen with priority and focus on accounting, internal process/controls, statutory and corporate compliance, internal/external audit. Assist Financial Controller in managing the credit control function of the Company

  • Business Process/Internal Controls : Coordinate business process with business support teams for timely systems update and proper documentation/authorization;Review regularly the internal controls and ensure its effectiveness and compliance with local regulations, tax, audit, and corporate requirements; Coordinate internal audit/SOX with related teams;Treasury :  Set up an effective system of monitoring and reporting balance and use of Company funds;  Prepare weekly cash flows forecast and cash balances;  Review monthly bank reconciliations and cash reconciliation; Review the rolling 13-week payment plan for its accuracy and completeness; Ensure the sufficiency of funds for daily operations; Project financing needs and evaluate/propose financing channels; Ensure timely application for, receipt, and availability of funds to be used; Coordinate with banks and institutions for security and proper use of company funds; Arrange forex contracts with Banks to hedge forex exposure as well as to minimize the forex exposure of the Company. 

  • Accounting :  Ensure appropriate journal entries are made and accounts are accurate and reconciled; Supervise month-end/quarter-end/year-end closing process and ensure deadlines are met; Review and maintain accounting records and systems so as to ensure their compliance with local GAAP and corporate requirements; Coordinate reports required by HQ for corporate accounting and reporting; Ensure timely and successful implementation of ERP systemCompliance  :  Review statutory accounts before submission and ensure their compliance with local GAAP and accounting regulations;  Review monthly, quarter, and annual tax filings;  Prepare other finance-related reports required by government agencies/bureaus; Coordinate statutory audit, internal audit, and other corporate compliance requirements


Requirements:

  • Qualified finance professional, CPA/CGA/ACCA/CMA 
  • Minimum 6 to 10 years combined experience in audit (preferably big 4) and corporate finance/accounting in fields of systems/processes, treasury, internal controls, GL, tax filing, internal and external audit
  • Hands on experience in SAP or similar ERP systems;

General Manager - Advertising / GMA-PHB-RIN

The General Manager will be responsible for managing the organizations’ processes and workflows, helping and creating organizational and program budgets in collaboration with the CEO and other HODs. Reporting to the CEO and serving as a member of the Management Team along with the CEO, this position's primary responsibility is ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the organization's operational functions. Working with the management team, the position spearheads the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices. This position will also interact with the Board of Directors.


Responsibilities:

  • Meet financial and operational growth target; overall accountable to the profit & loss of the agency
  • In-charge of overall day-to-day operations of the agency
  • Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission -- specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.
  • Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (HR, IT and Finance), through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.
  • Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
  • Management of agency budget in coordination with the CEO.
  • Development of individual program budgets

Responsibilities by Function

Budgeting
• Head annual budgeting and planning process for the organization's annual budget with CEO
• Assisting CEO in presenting to Board annual organizational budget.

Organizational Leadership & Effectiveness

  • Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team
  • With HODs, ensure clear roles and responsibilities are set for each department and individuals within each department.
  • Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services through improvements to each function (HR, IT, Finance) as well as coordination and communication between functions.
  • Drive initiatives in the management team and organizationally that contribute to long term operational excellence.
  • Create and monitor sub-committees within the organization to drive initiatives for operational excellence.
  • Providing consulting services on matters related to day-to-day General questions, and business structure and growth.

Risk Management

  • Serve as primary liaison to legal counsel in addressing legal issues e.g. copyright, antitrust, governing instruments, partnerships, licensing etc.
  • Oversee organizational insurance policies.

Reporting Lines
• Functionally and operationally reports to Group CEO
• Management of all Head of Departments

Qualifications
• At least 8-10 years experience in marketing or advertising
• Strong background and work experience in Agency (various departments a plus)

    BRANCH MANAGER (SURABAYA) BMS-HIL-RIN


    Our client in shipping and freight forwarding industry. As one of the established practitioners in the sector, their business has expanded rapidly 

    urgently seeking for
    Branch Manager
    (Jawa Timur - Surabaya)

    Responsibilities:
    As the Branch Manager you will be report to the MD in Jakarta and will be solely responsible to develop the Company’s business in East Java and Bali. Your core functions, though not exclusively,  will be to:

    • Oversee the entire branch operations – including planning, administration, project management
    • Prepare and submit annual Budget Plans
    • Manage & monitor performance against agreed Budget Plans and activities
    • Manage and enhance our current customer relations
    • Grow business turnover by expanding customer base and developing new business opportunities
    • Manage the margins through strict cost management
    • Ensure profitable operation of the branch
    Requirements:
    • Applicants must be willing to work in Surabaya.
    • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, any field.
    • Age between 30-40 years old. Matured, analytical, innovative with a pleasant personality.
    • Minimum 3 years in a Managerial capacity preferably in sales & marketing in the shipping and freight forwarding industry.
    • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in any field
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills and the ability to develop a team are essential to this position
    • Computer skills essential
    • Ability to work independently with little supervision is a must
    • High sense of integrity
